New York City has committed to a $5.1 million allocation to upgrade and revitalize Richmond County Bank Ballpark, which will prime it for other uses besides baseball. Baby Bombers to Host 2019 NYPL All-Star Game

After more than 2,000 fans submitted new team names as part of the Staten Island Yankees (Single-A, New York-Penn League) “Name The Team” Contest, the team has narrowed the list to five, including the Bridge Trolls, Heroes, Killer Bees, Pizza Rats, and Rock Pigeons. S.I. Yankees to Host Game of Thrones-Themed ‘Meet George R.R. Martin Night’ Tonight
Author and creator of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones George R.R. Martin will be in attendance at Richmond County Bank Ballpark tonight to sign autographs as the Baby Bombers become the Staten Island Direwolves, complete with a live wolf mascot at the stadium. The team will wear special jerseys to be auctioned off with proceeds going to the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary. The visiting Hudson Valley Renegades will don House Lannister-inspired jerseys.
