PRESS RELEASE – The Bismarck Larks have made big changes to their 2020 season. The biggest change is welcoming two other Northwoods League teams to the community, the Flickertails and Bull Moose. To eliminate travel, the three teams will each play a 48-game schedule against each other for a total of 72 games at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark, home of Dakota Community Bank & Trust Field.

PRESS RELEASE – Father’s day might look a bit different for many families on June 21st due to COVID-19. The same will be said for the Kalamazoo Growlers baseball team when the team will rename itself the “Kalamazoo Mac Daddies” in honor of fathers and mac and cheese lovers. The change is a dual salute to Dad, along with Michigan’s Undeniably Dairy Mac and Cheese Festival that is still slated to be hosted at Homer Stryker Field for the 2nd year later this fall after selling out in record time in 2019.
PRESS RELEASE – The Fort Wayne TinCaps unveiled the uniforms for their Manzanas Luchadoras identity on Thursday. The team will be taking the field as the Manzanas Luchadoras (“Fighting Apples” in Spanish) for six games at Parkview Field during the 2020 season as part of Minor League Baseball’s Es Divertido Ser Un Fan (“It’s Fun to be A Fan”) Hispanic fan engagement initiative.
PRESS RELEASE – The Crawdads are excited to unveil a new alternate identity for the 2020 season. The Crawdads will be taking the field for three games this season with a new alternate identity: the Hickory Couch Potatoes, presented by Kincaid Furniture Outlet.
PRESS RELEASE – The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs announced on Friday afternoon that they will change their name to the Bleu Cheeses every Thursday as part of their Wing Wars promotion including all you can eat chicken wings and all you can drink beer.
The San Antonio Missions announced today the ball club will pay homage to a staple of the Alamo City’s cuisine and morph into the San Antonio Puffy Tacos for three games from May 22-24 against the Iowa Cubs. In addition, the Missions have decreed May 22 as National Puffy Taco Day.

PRESS RELEASE – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks released their 25th season commemorative logo Thursday, in recognition of the team’s 25th season in 2020. The RedHawks will recognize the anniversary during the 25th season with special promotions, giveaways, and an All-25 Team, which will be selected by a fan vote, beginning in early 2020.
PRESS RELEASE – The Prospect League today announced it has entered into a new five-year (2020-2024) agreement with international brand Under Armour as its official on-field uniform. All Under Armour apparel, uniforms, and other related merchandise will be supplied by Kollege Town Sports, a Madison, Wisconsin-based corporation. Kollege Town Sports will also initiate two separate online stores for each team, which is a significant first.

The Louisville Bats (Triple-A, International League), in partnership with Four Roses Bourbon, announced in a press conference at Louisville Slugger Field on Thursday that the team will re-brand as the Derby City Mint Juleps for two games during the 2019 season. Read more here.

The Amarillo Sod Poodles (Double-A, Texas League) have unveiled their three uniform combinations that will be worn by players and field staff throughout the team’s inaugural season – a home white “Sod Poodles” script jersey with a crest logo patch on the sleeve, a road grey “Amarillo” art-deco style jersey with the quick draw logo on the sleeve, and an Alternate light blue “Soddies” script jersey with the pride of Texas logo on the sleeve. Amarillo Yellow, Texas Red and Blue, and Route 66 Retro Blue make up the club’s new official colors. Read more here.
