Prospects Make Pitch for Lease Extension, Future Unclear

With its four-year lease expiring in March 2020, the Edmonton Prospects (Summer Collegiate, Western Canadian Baseball League) has submitted a tenancy proposal for a 10-year lease of Re/Max Field.  But it’s not the only group vying for the anchor space around a larger redevelopment of the surrounding neighborhood.  Read more here.

Edmonton Seeking RFP’s for Ballpark, Affiliated Owlz a Possible Contender

The city Edmonton (AB) is accepting pitches for tenancy at Remax Field, which could ultimately push the Edmonton Prospects (Summer Collegiate, Western Canadian Baseball League) out after its 2019 season wraps up.  A possible contender is reportedly the Orem Owlz (Rookie, Pioneer League).  Read more here.

Edmonton Prospects Propose $3 Million in Upgrades, 25-Year Lease

The Edmonton Prospects (Summer Collegiate, Western Canadian Baseball League) are looking to submit a proposal to the City of Edmonton (AB) over the next two weeks outlining around $3 million in upgrades to Remax Field, in exchange for a 25-year lease.  Read more here.

Prospects Take Over Telus Field, Will Seek New Naming Rights Sponsor

Edmonton Prospects LogoEdmonton (AB) City Councillors gave the official go-ahead for the Edmonton Prospects (Summer Collegiate, Western Major Baseball League) to take over Telus Field.  In addition, Councillors agreed to allow the Prospects to look for a new naming sponsor, to contribute funds to support operating costs, and potentially make some changes to the facility.  Read more and watch news report here.

Telus Field Headed for Wrecking Ball or American Association?
