PRESS RELEASE – The Jackson Generals released their 2015 promotional schedule on Friday with a plethora of fun nights for fans at the Ballpark at Jackson this season. A brand-new Wizard of Oz Night (May 15), an appearance by Duck Commander and A&E Duck Dynasty’s Jep Robertson on Duck Dynasty Night (July 11) and a Jabari Greer Bobblehead Giveaway (May 1) highlight a season of fun in West Tennessee.
One of A&E Duck Dynasty’s biggest stars will be in attendance on July 11, as Duck Commander Duck Man Jep Robertson will be at the Ballpark at Jackson. After the game, fans will be treated to a Pyro Fireworks display courtesy of Alan Brown, State Farm Insurance.
The Generals will wear special Dorothy-themed jerseys with ruby-red text on Wizard of Oz Night sponsored by Robert’s Jewelers on May 15. That is one of six nights this year that the team will wear unique jerseys that get auctioned off to fans after the game. Star Wars Night presented by the Jackson Energy Authority (May 2) and Superhero Night presented by Sky Zone (June 20) make their return as well, as all your favorite characters from a galaxy far far away and comic books are sure to be at the Ballpark.
The team will also don special jerseys for their Independence Day with auction proceeds going to the 30th SAB Association (July 3), Diamond Jaxx Throwback Night (August 29) presented by Jackson Sport and Fitness with auction proceeds going to Special Needs Athletics and Night of Heart (May 30) presented by West Tennessee Heart and Vascular Center.
The Generals will be giving out Jabari Greer Bobbleheads thanks to A+ Insurance to the first 500 fans on May 1. The 2009 Super Bowl Champion and graduate of South Side High School in Jackson will be in attendance for the game.
The team’s other giveaway night is for its first ever Christmas in July (July 25) game presented by A+ Insurance. Six months away from Christmas, the first 500 fans through the gate will receive an Ugly Sweater T-Shirt to take home.
Jackson’s ten-game opening homestand features the first of 12 fireworks shows on Saturday, April 18 after the team’s game against Mississippi. The University of Memphis is sponsoring a High Tech display on Educators’ Appreciation Night.
In addition to the games featured above, fans will be treated to fireworks for Elvis Night (August 15) brought to you by WBBJ and Ashley Furniture and SEC Night (August 29) presented by FOX 16. Football fans will get to gear up for the upcoming collegiate season with fireworks to the tune of their favorite (or least favorite) fight songs.
