No More BP at T.R. Hughes

PRESS RELEASE – Due to the gulf oil leak that British Petroleum is responsible for, and has yet to clean up and repair, the River City Rascals will no longer refer to the pre-game staple of batting practice as “BP” until the problem is corrected.

“The Rascals are a business that focuses on family fun entertainment”, says General Manager Chris Franklin, “we take hitting practice before every game, home and away, and the connotation that the abbreviation “B.P.” conjures up is something that we absolutely do not want to be associated with.”

Batting practice will be referred to as hitting practice (HP) until the gulf oil leak is plugged and fixed for good. In the meantime, the Rascals encourage their fans to visit QuikTrip to refuel their cars. Bring your fuel receipt to the box office at all Rascals games to receive an additional one dollar off each ticket purchased until the oil leak is plugged.

And if Hewlett-Packard does something wrong, will they stop referring to it as “HP”? Hilarious.
