Sunday, March 6, is the court-ordered day the Northern League’s/North American League’s Schaumburg Flyers are supposed to be out of Alexian Field, but apparently the government landlords of the city-owned park are being a little more patient, as they have not ruled out a sale of the team by owner Rich Ehrenreich. The reality is, despite the more rickety position of the new North American League, a sale of the team is the only way the city is going to see a dime in back rent. If it weren’t for that factor, we think the Frontier League or American Association moving trucks would be parked outside Alexian today. Read more here.
