PRESS RELEASE – The Birmingham Barons announced their 2010 promotional schedule on Thursday. The schedule features theme nights, special performing acts and a collection of nightly promotions. Once again in 2010, nearly every night will have a special theme or promotion. The nightly promotions are as follows:
Sundays: Kids Eat Free (choice of one kids free combo meal with purchase of full-price kids ticket) and Dreamland Ribs available.
Mondays: “Belly Buster Monday- (all-you-can-eat menu items)
Tuesdays: Good Neighbors $1 Value Tuesday (select $1 menu items)
Thursday: Thirsty Thursday ($1 beverages)
Fridays: Friday Night Fireworks
Saturdays: Super Saturday Fireworks plus additional promotions and $5 Little Caesars Hot-N-Ready Pizzas
The third annual Pyro-Palooza (formerly SKYFEST) will be held on Saturday, August 7.
Appearances by famed performers such as BirdZerk!, the ZOOperstars!, Breaking Bboy McCoy, the Bucket Boys,and Star Wars characters also highlight the promotional schedule
Special giveaways include Gordon Beckham bobble-heads, magnet schedules, backpacks, family cooler bags, adult caps, and kids jerseys.
In addition to the 15th Annual Rickwood Classic, the Barons will recognize the 100-year celebration of Rickwood Field with a Rickwood Field celebration Night on Tuesday, May 18. The Barons will also honor their 25-year affiliation with the Chicago White Sox when they announce the 25th Anniversary Team on Saturday, July 17 as part of White Sox Tribute Night.
Individual theme nights include 70’s Night, 80’s Night, 90’s Night, Big Lebowski Night, Country and Camo Night, Greek Night, church nights, scout nights, Christmas in July, Military Appreciation Night, two Stress- Free Nights, Parrot Head Night, Bald is Beautiful Night, a diamond dig, and a plasma television dig. In addition, the team will hold multiple pre-game autograph sessions throughout the season.
The National Championship celebration night that was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 10 will no longer be held. In its place, the night will feature post-game fireworks.

The Barons open the 2010 season on Thursday, April 8 with a 7:05 game against the Carolina Mudcats. Tickets are available online, over the phone or by visiting the Joe Drake Ticket Office at Regions Park.
