Captains Unveil New Website

PRESS RELEASE – The Shreveport-Bossier Captains launched their new official team Web site today, hoping to bring fans even closer to the team in its second year with its new identity. Still at http://www.sbcaptains.com, the new site was designed by Streamline Technologies, a company that specializes in custom Web sites for sports teams.

“I feel really good about the way our new site looks,” Captains VP/General Manager Craig Brasfield said. It provides a baseball-centric site with a unique look that does not stray too far from our old site either.”

The new site links to all of the Captains’ social media pages – Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and Bizzy, as well as their ebay souvenir store. It will feature bios and pictures on all players, coaches and front office staff, as well as a new calendar providing each night’s opponent, promotion, and eventually result and box score.

“Alex, Ricki and the staff at Streamline have done a great job getting everything together for the new site and I’m really excited about getting it out their for all our fans and supporters,” Brasfield said.

The Shreveport-Bossier Captains open the 2010 season in Fort Worth on May 13, and will be on the road for the first series of the year. The home opener is a day-night doubleheader against Pensacola on Tuesday May 18. All games will be broadcast on ESPN Radio, KRMD-1340 AM as well as streaming live on supertalk1340.com. For information on tickets, promotions, advertising, and other opportunities with the Captains, check out the team’s Web site at http://www.sbcaptains.com, or call the Fair Grounds Field office at (318) 636-5555.
