Revolution Unveil Largest Promo Schedule Yet

PRESS RELEASE – The York Revolution have unfurled the curtains on the whole shebang, announcing the largest single-season promotional schedule in Revolution history. Nearly every home game, 63 of the 71 to be exact, offers a promotional event or giveaway item. Those include things like 15 fireworks nights, 10 giveaway nights, five Dog Days, four custom jersey auctions/raffles, two sleepovers, two concerts, wrestling with a baseball game… and that’s just the beginning of it. More than ever before, the Revs have crammed something for everybody into 71 fun-filled home dates at the ballpark this summer.

“We’ve piled on more giveaways, more events, and jammed more value into the Revolution experience,” said Marketing Director Tim Beckwith. “With the help of many partners, our show this year has got the deepest line-up we’ve ever had.”

The ten giveaway items this year will range from caps to used cars. Friday, August 6 is Used Car Giveaway Night where we’ll give away a selection of used cars between innings. Other giveaway items include Magnet Schedules presented by rabbittransit on April 23 and 24, and our tribute to firefighters with a “DownTown Firefighter Bobblehead” sponsored by Turkey Hill Dairy on August 7.

You can take the statue home on August 8 when replicas of the famed Brooks Robinson Statues are given away. Stadium icon Cannonball Charlie & his cannon are immortized in a Cannonball Charlie Bobblehead presented by BAE Systems on August 21. There is also a cap giveaway presented by O.S.S. on August 20, and a pink cap giveaway on September 10.

Why pink for that cap giveaway? September 10 is also “Girls Night Out”, hosted by Memorial Hospital and Your Community Women’s Journal. Our female fans will take over the stadium, while enjoying a pre-game baseball clinic, pampering services, fashion, wine-tasting, diamond giveaway and much more.

Other Theme Nights include Train Collectors Night (April 24), and Cinco de Mayo (May 5). We’ll recognize those who keep us healthy with Medical Professionals Night on May 6. Teachers can kick off their summer with Educator & ESP Appreciation Day on June 10. Engineering Night (June 24) is when the smartest people in York County will all fill one stadium. Then on July 1, compare your pearly whites for Dental Professionals Night. Salute those who harvest your produce on Ag Night (July 22). Network and exchange business cards on Ballpark Bizness Networking Night (August 18). And we’ll turn the ballpark into a college football atmosphere with “School Spirit Night” presented by O.S.S. and GameTimePA.com on September 4.

We’ve got your wardrobe covered too. What better way to show off your Revs fashion than by securing your own game-worn custom jersey? You’ll have four chances to nab one this season. The first chance is on Sunday, June 13, when the Revs celebrate Cancer Survivor Night, benefitting York Cancer Center’s Patient Help Fund, by wearing special pink jerseys to be auctioned off after the game. Then on Sunday, July 4, it’s the Independence Day Celebration presented by BAE Systems, with patriotic jerseys being worn and auctioned to the highest bidders. The Revs will wear special SPCA Awareness jerseys presented by Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union for each Dog Day this season, and those will be auctioned off on Sunday, September 5, the last of five Dog Days hosted by the SPCA. And finally, as part of Closing Ceremonies on Sunday, September 12, the regular season finale will conclude with a “Game Jerseys Off Our Back” auction presented by Under Armour.

We’ll mix baseball and wrestling on Saturday, July 24, with Wrestling Night presented by Changed Destinies. Famous and infamous professional wrestlers will clobber each other in the picnic area before the game.

Two major faith nights are lined up for late July. “Faith Night” featuring Baseball Chapel is July 25, and “Faith in Our City” night, presented by Logos Academy, is July 29. Christian recording artist Anthony Evans will perform, and his father, national radio host Dr. Tony Evans, will be on-hand to speak.

Many of the top hits from years past will make an encore. Wedding Night presented by First Capital Federal Credit Union is on May 30. The National Donut Day celebration will take place on June 8. (Revs pitch a shutout… free Maple Donuts!) Diaper Derby and the all-new Toddler Trot, co-sponsored by SmartmamaPA.com are June 12, Bike Night & Parade of Chrome zooms into town on July 3, Mascotpalooza presented by Downtown Inc. is set for August 17, and Battle of the Bands III is September 1. Another returning favorite is Scout Night Sleepover on Friday, July 16, followed by Family Sleepover the next night. And of course the weekly goodies… Team Autograph Sessions, Catch on the Field, and Kids Run the Bases presented by rabbittransit will all be Sunday staples again, while Shurfine Fridays and Baseball BINGO are back as well.
