Hilliard has a history of failing. He was villified in New Jersey for his role in the building of Skylands Park, which when finally completed housed the NJ Cardinals and then the Sussex team in the Can Am.Failing economy or not,his operational decisions in Oakland County has left a string of bad debts, all invested capital lost, employees not paid and contracts and promises not lived up to.
