Coastal Plain League, Baseball America Extend Agreement

PRESS RELEASE – The Coastal Plain League announced today that it and Baseball America have agreed to extend their working agreement to continue featuring the “Coastal Plain League Corner” in each summer issue of Baseball America for the 2011 season.

A partnership that started with the 2010 season, baseball readers around the country and beyond will again be able to keep up with some of the top stories going on throughout the CPL this summer.

“We are thrilled to have renewed our partnership with Baseball America for the 2011 season,” said CPL Assistant Commissioner Justin Sellers. “Last season, the CPL Corner proved to be quite popular and we are looking forward to an expanded edition in each issue of BA this summer. We’re happy that our fans can continue to stay updated on the latest buzz around the CPL, while also being able to help put our players, coaches and teams at the forefront of college summer baseball through the national exposure of Baseball America.”

The 2011 edition of the CPL Corner will be double the size as it was a year ago, now offering more information on the league and its teams. Each CPL Corner will feature highlights from games, as well as notes about players, coaches, ballparks renovations, records being broken, alumni notes, and more. Fans can look for the CPL Corner in the college section and college summer league sections of Baseball America starting with the May 30 issue and running through mid-September.
