PRESS RELEASE – Rexall Sports Corporation is offering local businesses and advertisers the opportunity to put your company’s name on the home of the Edmonton Capitals Baseball Club and popular outdoor concert venue, currently named TELUS Field.
“This rare asset will give your corporation a high profile piece of the sports and entertainment industry in Northern Alberta” said Patrick LaForge, Oilers President and CEO. “Rexall Sports Corporation plans even more concerts and events at the ballpark in the coming years to make this venue a premier outdoor entertainment destination.”
The Edmonton Capitals play a busy 45 home game regular season schedule in the Golden Baseball League. The GBL is a 10-team independent professional baseball league featuring teams from Calgary, Victoria, Arizona, California and the newest franchise in Maui. In addition, TELUS Field hosted major concert events last summer, including headliners Bryan Adams and Big & Rich.
TELUS Field is located in the heart of Edmonton’s river valley near the North Saskatchewan River in the community of Rossdale. Near to the downtown core, over 30,000 vehicles pass by the ballpark daily. The naming rights agreement would also include collateral, advertising, event seats and VIP hospitality.
