The Fayetteville (NC) City Council received a mixed public reaction Thursday night on a proposal to build a minor league baseball stadium downtown. Some of the opponents were fans of the Fayetteville SwampDogs (Summer Collegiate, Coastal Plain League), who fear a new stadium would put the franchise out of business.
