The indy pro New Jersey Jackals (Can-Am League) kicked off their 15th anniversary season home campaign Tuesday night against the Rockland Boulders. In recognition of this milestone, the team released a 15th anniversary logo and will celebrate Jack the Jackal‘s 15th birthday on June 25. Thanks to John Cerone for sharing the logo.

If the team’s first season was 1998 — and it was — then Jack the Jackal’s 15th birthday isn’t until 2013. Also, along those same lines, the 2012 season is NOT the “15th Anniversary Season”. It’s the 15th Season. There is a difference. For example, if you were born in June 1991, you are celebrating your 21st birthday this month. You are in your 22nd year (season). The “15th Anniversary season” of the Jackals will be 2013. Why is this so difficult to get right?
