Rochester Community Baseball lost $167,844 running both the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings and the Single-A Batavia Muckdogs. The teams did not contribute equally to the deficit however. Loses from the Muckdogs’ operation totaled $143,495, which is actually an improvement over the $253,425 in loses that piled up for the team in 2008. As part of the operating agreement with team’s owners, Genessee County Baseball Club, RCB is slated to receive 5 percent of any sale of the franchise for every year the group manages the team’s operations.
