The group Centerfield Partnership presented a plan (view actual proposal here) to the San Rafael (CA) Parks & Recreation Commission last Thursday to upgrade Albert Park from 700 seats to 1,500 seats, and bring a new indy pro North American League (formerly Golden Baseball League) franchise to town. While this has caused a few concerned neighborhood residents to threaten legal action by hiring an attorney, longtime sports broadcaster Barry Tompkins, who lives in Marin, is quite dismissive of the complaints.
