The Lake County Fielders, the newest franchise in the indy pro Northern League, made their home debut on Friday night at their new temporary, modular ballpark in Zion (IL) in front of 6,823 fans. The team had been playing their home games at Carthage College in Kenosha (WI). The Fielders were defeated by the Gary SouthShore RailCats 11-4. Read more here and here. View photos of opener here.
