Grand Slam Development has proposed turning a 17-acre parking lot across the street from Rupp Arena into a mixed-use development. Been to Lexington’s ballpark several times and other than seating that is pretty close to the field, there is really nothing special about it. But these renderings and their statements sound like they are just going to copy the exact same stadium template that has gone up in other places the last few years.
