Pulaski to Sell Ballpark, Mariners Pulling Out

Pulaski Mariners LogoThe city of Pulaski (VA) voted Tuesday night to sell antiquated Calfee Park to Shelor Motor Mile — a car dealership owned by David Hagan.  The Rookie-level Pulaski Mariners (Appalachian League) will not be returning in 2015.  Hagan plans to renovate the park and is currently negotiating to bring in a replacement MLB affiliate.  Read more here.  Read the back story from June here.  As we have been told, Hagan also plans to buy an old warehouse downtown and convert it to residences for the players, who have been housed 25 miles away in Wytheville (VA).

    One ballpark site has it wrong on the sale price:
