SSL Pulls Plug on North Division for 2011

The new Southwestern States League has decided to delay moving forward with a North division until 2012.  This will allow the league to focus on the South division for 2011, while efforts are made to market the league and improve facilities in the North.  (Note to self:  Remind new baseball league entrepreneurs to put together a sound strategic business plan and do their due diligence before launching and making franchise award announcements.)  To be fair, we’ll give credit to the league leadership for finally recognizing an inevitable train wreck in the North that could have brought down the first-year circuit before the end of the 2011 season.

The SWSL will operate in 2011, so stay tuned!

North is done with the rest of the league, I guess you want to go down with the sinking ship.

Another fine example of a former employee making a decision that was not in the best interest of the SWSL! The North is still on the table and the plug has not been pulled as of yet. Stay tuned!
