Fielders Announce New Stadium Design

PRESS RELEASE – Fielders’ fans throughout Lake County and Southern Wisconsin have plenty to be excited about other than the anticipation of watching their hometown team play baseball this June, as the new Lake County stadium design has been finalized. While changes to the original stadium layout have been made, the capacity of the ballpark itself for games remains the same.

The changes have been put in place to expedite the stadium being ready for Opening Day on June 11th, however it will not take away from the fans expectations or enjoyment of the ballpark.  “We are able to reduce construction days without taking away any significant stadium amenities,” said Fielders Executive Vice President Rick Rungaitis.

While it will remain a one story structure in its first year, building upward in the future is certainly a possibility.  The seating options will remain the same offering the following: premier and reserved box, pub style, and general admission seating.  The concert stage and the first level of luxury suites remain in tact from the original design as well.  The new stadium design features the Ray & Raymond Stadium Club which will serve as a year-round restaurant & banquet facility located along the third base line.  A new picnic area is highlighted just outside of the stadium as well as the Fielders Kids Zone, equipped with batting cages and several other activities for the youngsters down the first base line.

One of the biggest changes could turn out to be the best.  Regarding the relocation of the Party Decks to just beyond the right field fence Rungaitis points out “it gives people their own area in the outfield that is conducive to a fun, party atmosphere.”
