Walla Walla Sweets Name New GM

PRESS RELEASE – – The Sweets have named a new general manager, promoting assistant general manager Dan Ferguson to the post for the 2018 season. Team president Zachary Fraser, who had returned to the GM role for the 2017 season, is continuing on in his role as president of the Sweets and the Yakima Valley Pippins. Both WCL clubs share the same ownership.

Sweets GM Stepping Down

PRESS RELEASE – After starting as a game-day employee and serving as the company’s second-longest tenured staff member, Sweets general manager announced today that she will not be returning to the team for the 2017 season.

Fraser to Assume Duties as Pippins GM

Zachary Fraser, who serves as chief operating officer of the Pacific Baseball Ventures ownership group which owns both the Yakima Valley Pippins and Walla Walla Sweets of the summer collegiate West Coast League, will step in as general manager of the Pippins for the 2015 season.  The group has had difficulty finding the right person for the job after Noel Zanchelli was let go at mid-season last year.  Read more here.

Tetzlaff Steps Down as Pippins GM

PRESS RELEASE – Pippins general manager Danny Tetzlaff announced today that he will be stepping down from his position to return home to North Carolina.

Fraser Named WCL Executive of the Year

PRESS RELEASE – Zachary Fraser, the Walla Walla Sweets’ General Manager, has been named Executive of the Year for the 2010 West Coast League season. The announcement was by WCL President, Ken Wilson, as he unveiled the awards for the League’s 6th season. The League awards were voted on by the coaches of West Coast League teams.
