P-Nats Extend Ballpark Lease Until 2020
The Potomac Nationals (Single-A, Carolina League) confirmed at their Hot Stove Banquet on Sunday that the club has extended its lease to play at Pfitzner Stadium until the 2020 season. They also have the option to end the lease early if they are able to find the opportunity to move into a new stadium elsewhere. Read more here.

Next Stop for P-Nats
Now that a ballpark deal for the Potomac Nationals (Single-A, Carolina League) in Prince William County (VA) is apparently dead, where will the team go? Owner Art Silber says he wants to keep the team in Northern Virginia. Loudoun County supervisor Ron Meyer reportedly said the team is more than welcome there. Spotsylvania County is a possibility. Arlington County is out, but Alexandria is a potential option. Read more here.

MiLB President Presses Prince William County on New P-Nats Ballpark
Minor League Baseball Pat O’Connor showed his frustration yesterday at the lack of urgency to build the Potomac Nationals (Single-A, Carolina League) a new stadium. Prince William County (VA) is taking more steps toward a new stadium for its minor league baseball team. There’s really not much new news here, but Art Silber, the owner of the Single-A Potomac Nationals (Carolina League), told the Prince William County Board of Supervisors recently that he is getting closer to a deal to bring a new ballpark to Woodbridge (VA). He also said that the team might move, if approvals are not in place to begin construction by 2015. Read more here.
