Winter Fare Slated for Winter Classic

It won’t be your typical summer fare at Citizens Bank Park, home of MLB’s Philadelphia Philles, when the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers face off for the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic outdoor hockey game on Jan. 2.  Specialty soups, sandwiches, and hot chocolate are just a few of the items expected to keep tummies warm and happy.  Read more and view video here.

Phillies Ballpark Readies for 2012 Winter Classic

Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, will host the NHL’s 2012 Winter Classic on Jan. 2 at 1:00 p.m. EST between the Philadelphia Flyers and the New York Rangers.  Check out a time lapse video here of the field being transformed into an outdoor hockey rink.

‘Winter Classic’ a Classic at Fenway

The NHL completed another successful Winter Classic event at an MLB ballpark, when the Boston Bruins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 in overtime in front of 38,112 fans at Fenway Park.  Read more here.  If we didn’t know any better, we would think this photo here was actually photoshopped.

Preparing for the NHL ‘Winter Classic’ at Fenway

It’s beginning to look a lot like hockey at Feway Park, as preparations continue for the NHL’s Winter Classic.  Even in the dead of winter, Feway remains an intimate and alluring place to be.  The logo designer did a great job too, as the branding for the event has the perfect festive “feel” for the holiday season.  Read more, view photos, and check out live webcam here.
