Kinston Approves Lease for Carolina League Team

Kinston Indians New Logo 2010The Kinston (NC) city council voted Monday to approve a lease for a potential baseball team at Grainger Stadium.  The deal is expected to be with a Single-A, Carolina League team and include $1.6 million in improvements and enhancements to the facility.  Read more here.  Read background story here.

Blue Rocks Introduce Krispy Kreme Donut Dog

Dash Break Single-Game Attendance Record

Winston-Salem Dash SecondaryA record crowd of 8,184 showed up at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem (NC) on the 4th of July, as the Single-A Winston-Salem Dash (Carolina League) were shut out 5-0 by the Wilmington Blue Rocks.  Friday night’s crowd surpassed the previous record of 7,576, set last year on Independence Day.  Read more here.

Blue Rocks Opening Day Ticket Price Will be Based on Morning Temperature

Rocks, Frawley Play Host to Hamburger Eating Contest

Rocky Bullwinkle Unveils New Look

Dash Tops in Carolina League Attendance in New Park

The new BB&T Ballpark has been kind to the Carolina League’s Winston-Salem Dash this season.  The team is averaging a league leading 4,584 fans per game, with less than a week to go in the regular season.  The Wilmington Blue Rocks are a close second and still in the hunt for the attendance crown with an average of 4,538 per game.  Read more and view news clip here.
