Start-Up Expedition League Announces Nebraska Franchise, Team Naming Contest Underway

The start-up Expedition League (Summer Collegiate), the newest member of the summer collegiate wood bat baseball landscape, has announced the arrival of its Gering/Scottbluff (NE) franchise.  The team, owned by Chuck and Mayra Heeman, will play at the new Oregon Trail Park Stadium, currently under construction in Gering.  Read press release here.  The team name options include the Tumbleweeds, Tornadoes, Crushers or Pioneers.  Fans can vote here.
