Black Bears Talk About 2019 Season, Double Stuffed Dave to Retire

The West Virginia Black Bears hosted media to show off what’s new at the ballpark. Relocated, Rebranded Black Bears Open Inaugural Season in New Morgantown Ballpark

West Virginia Black Bears LogoThe West Virginia Black Bears (Single-A, New York-Penn League) kicked off their inaugural season in their new $21 million home Friday night in front of a reported crowd of 3,019.  Read more here.  View photos here.  The former Jamestown Jammers relocated to Morgantown (WV) from New York after the 2014 season.  The Bears share Monongalia County Ballpark with the University of West Virginia baseball team.

New League, New Era Begins for Jamestown Jammers

Jamestown Jammers Primary LogoThe summer collegiate version of the Jamestown Jammers (Prospect League) kicked off their inaugural season Wednesday night in a rain-shortened game at Russell E. Deithrick Jr. Park.  The previous incarnation of the Jammers (Single-A, New York-Penn League) relocated to Morgantown (WV) in the off season and became the West Virginia Black Bears.  Watch news report here.

Mountaineers Open New Stadium
