Judge Dismisses Kokomo Market Lawsuit by Owner of Wild Things

Parkersburg (WV) Takes Next Ballpark Steps

Frontier League logoParkersburg (WV) Mayor Bob Newell announced at tonight’s special City Council meeting that he has signed a cooperative agreement with the owner of the indy pro Washington Wild Things (Frontier League) to start the process of bringing a baseball team and multipurpose stadium to the city.  Read more here.

Search for Ballpark Site in Parkersburg (WV) Narrows

Frontier League logoOne more potential site for an indy pro Frontier League baseball stadium in Parkersburg (WV) is off the market, as about 300 acres of property atop Lee’s Hill were sold last month.  With the Lee’s Hill land off the table, only the Sixth Street area of downtown Parkersburg, the site preferred by many, remains out of four potential sites mentioned earlier this year.  Meanwhile, work on the second phase of the feasibility study for the project continues.  Read more here.

Site Work Said to Begin Soon for Bridgeport (WV) Ballpark Project

Parkersburg Seeking Funds for Ballpark Feasibility Study

Owner of Wild Things’ Ballpark Pursues Property Tax Appeal

WashCo Ballpark Holdings, owner of Consol Energy Park, home of the indy pro Washington Wild Things (Frontier League), is appealing a decision by the Washington County Board of Assessment Appeals refusing to lower the stadium’s tax assessment.  WashCo purchased the ballprk for $3.9 million earlier this year from the nonprofit Ballpark Scholarships Inc.  Read more here.

Parkersburg (WV) Delegation Tours Wild Things’ Home

New Frontier League Ballpark, Team for West Virginia
