Wade Stadium Renovations Ready for Debut
When the Duluth Huskies (Summer Collegiate, Northwoods League) take the field this season, it will be a new experience for both players and fans, as $2.3 million in renovations have been completed at historic Wade Stadium. Improvements include new artificial turf and drainage system, new padding on the outfield walls, relocated lighting, and a new state-of-the-art scoreboard. Read more and watch news report here.

Artificial turf and a new home plate have been installed at historic Wade Stadium, home of the summer collegiate Duluth Huskies (Northwoods League). $2.3 Million in Renovations Coming to Wade Stadium, Courtesy of State
The state bonding bill signed into law by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton on Tuesday provides $2.3 million in General Fund non-bonded support for renovations to Wade Stadium, home of the summer collegiate Duluth Huskies (Northwoods League). Because the Huskies’ season begins next week, improvements will have to wait until after the season. Read more here and here.

‘The Wade’ Gets a Little Love in House Bonding Bill
The Minnesota House of Representatives has proposed $250,000 in bonding for the city of Duluth (MN) to design improvements for historic Wade Stadium, home of the summer collegiate Duluth Huskies (Northwoods League). The Minnesota Senate has yet to unveil its bonding proposal. Locals are working toward a multi-million dollar renovation project.

Mayor, Councilors Spar Over Wade Renovations
After chunks of a wall collapsed at historic Wade Stadium, home of the summer collegiate Duluth Huskies (Northwoods League), Duluth Mayor Don Ness still plans to stick with the timeline to renovate the facility. Wall Collapses at ‘The Wade’
Nice timing! Just as the city and summer collegiate Duluth Huskies (Northwoods League) are making another run at the Minnesota State Legislature for $5.8 million in bonding to renovate historic Wade Stadium, the top 4 to 6 feet of the 20-foot-tall first base brick wall collapses. Duluth Huskies Get New Owners
The summer collegiate Northwoods League’s Duluth (MN) Huskies are under new ownership. At a news conference on Thursday at historic Wade Stadium, new co-owners Michael Rosenzweig and Andy Karon were introduced to fans. A third owner has chosen to remain a silent partner. The group bought the team from Bobby McCarthy, who owned the franchise since it was launched in 2003. Read more here.

Duluth Seeks $3M to Save ‘The Wade’
The Duluth (MN) City Council has unanimously approved a resolution to support pursuing $3 million in state bonding to help pay for needed repairs to historic Wade Stadium, home of the summer collegiate Northwoods League’s Duluth Huskies.
