Virginia Beach Approves Revised Ballpark Plan

The Virginia Beach (VA) City Council voted Tuesday to approve changes to a lease for a planned 5,000-seat professional baseball stadium for the Virginia Beach Neptunes (Indy Pro, Atlantic League) and collateral development.  Read more here.

A Revised Plan for Virginia Beach Ballpark Project

Virginia Beach Professional Baseball LLC, which plans to construct and operate an athletic village that will include a 5,000-seat baseball stadium and more, has proposed changes to their lease that would lower the cost of the project and get it closer to breaking ground.  Read more here.

Neptunes Announce Stadium Naming Rights Agreement

PRESS RELEASE – Virginia Beach Neptunes Baseball Club, LLC announces that an agreement for the naming rights of the planned baseball stadium in Virginia Beach, home of the future Virginia Beach Neptunes, has been reached with a local venture capital company. The baseball team is scheduled to join the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball in 2016.

Funding Almost There for Neptunes

The Virginia Beach Neptunes (Indy Pro, Atlantic League) are closing in on raising the $6 million that will allow them to borrow an estimated $40 million more through bonds needed to build a new ballpark and bring the team to town, according to the team, investors and the city.  Read more here.  Thanks to John Cerone for the heads up.

Virginia Beach Neptunes Unveil Logos

PRESS RELEASE – Virginia Beach Professional Baseball, LLC and the Virginia Beach Neptunes announced the debut of the team logos for the new baseball franchise. The Primary logo features King Neptune himself.
