Rome Braves Unveil New HD Videoboard Upgrades

PRESS RELEASE – The Rome Braves, Single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, unveiled plans to build a new high definition video board at State Mutual Stadium prior to the start of the 2020 season. In addition to the new, primary display in left field, the Rome Braves also announced upgrades to the existing Go Braves board along with the matrix board near the entrance of Braves Boulevard.

Blue Crabs Replace Ballpark Videoboard

One of the major additions to the start of the 2019 Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (Independent Professional, Atlantic League) season at Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf (MD) is the brand-new LED video board from Brookings (SD)-based Daktronics out in right-center field.  Read more here.

New State-of-the-Art Scoreboard on Tap for Erie Ballpark

The Erie County Convention Center Authority’s board of directors on Thursday approved a $789,959 low bid from Daktronics, the Brookings, South Dakota, company that specializes in scoreboards, sound systems and video displays.  The new scoreboard is part of a planned multimillion-dollar upgrade to UPMC Park, home of the Erie SeaWolves (Double-A, Eastern League).  Read more here.

Despite Improvements, Squirrels Not Resigned to Staying at The Diamond

The Richmond Flying Squirrels (Double-A, Eastern League) on Monday unveiled the $250,000 video board, which will capture on-field action and present movie and TV clips, custom animations, a noise-meter, hat shuffles, and other entertainment.  But, this and other improvements do not signal that the team is resigned to being at The Diamond for the long haul.  Read more here.

Aviators Unveil Largest LED Video Display in the Minors

Jackals Unveil New Videoboard

The new 42-foot Daktronics LED videoboard has been installed at Yogi Berra Stadium, home of the New Jersey Jackals (Independent Professional, Can-Am League).  Fans will get their first look at the new monster media amenity on Opening Day on Friday, May 25.  Thanks to John Cerone for the heads up.

Joe Martin Field Getting New Scoreboard

The Bellingham Bells (Summer Collegiate, West Coast League) have announced the addition of a new scoreboard to Joe Martin Field for the 2018 season.  The scoreboard, which will completely replace the current existing structure, will feature a new design and full video display capabilities.  Read more here.

Rockies Unveil Rendering of Giant Video Scoreboard

On Wednesday, the Colorado Rockies provided a sneak peek of its huge new video scoreboard being constructed in left-center at Coors Field. The massive new scoreboard will measure 8,369 square feet — 258 percent larger than the board it’s replacing.  Read more and view rendering here.

Seminoles Fans to Get First Glimpse of New Videoboard Saturday

With Opening Day of the 2018 season just one month away, fans entering Dick Howser Stadium this year will be greeted by one of the largest video boards in college baseball.  Construction on the board is scheduled to be completed by the end of January.  Read more here.

Slugger Field to Add Second HD Videoboard

PRESS RELEASE – For the second time this offseason the Louisville Bats are teaming up with Daktronics to bring a brand new high-definition video board and sound system to Louisville Slugger Field. Last month, the Bats announced the addition of a new high-definition scoreboard in right-center field, also done by Daktronics.

Power Announce Videoboard Upgrade for 2017

PRESS RELEASE – The West Virginia Power, Class A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, are pleased to announce the purchase of a new high definition video board and production suite to enhance Appalachian Power Park. The Power, through an agreement with Total Sports Entertainment, will install a LSI Smartvision LED video board during the coming weeks.

New Videoboard Installed at Riverfront Stadium

The latest star attraction at Riverfront Stadium, home of the Waterloo Bucks (Summer Collegiate, Northwoods League), doesn’t swing a bat or throw a ball.  It’s a new, state-of-the-art Daktronics video board installed above the right field wall.  Read more here.

Red Wings to Install New RF Videoboard

PRESS RELEASE – The Rochester Red Wings have announced plans to install a brand-new, full color, LED video board in right field replacing the board that has been there since Frontier Field’s inaugural season in 1997. The new video board, designed and manufactured by Daktronics, will be up and running for Opening Day at Frontier Field on April 5.

Huge Videoboard Installed, as BB&T Ballpark Prepares for Inaugural Home Opener

As construction nears completion on the new home for the Triple-A Charlotte Knights (International League), contractors used a huge crane on Friday to lift panels into place for the facility’s main 30 feet by 82 feet videoboard.  Read more and watch video here.  Meanwhile, the Knights have released their promo schedule and celebrity appearances, entertainment acts, and tribute nights for the 2014 season.
