A renovation of Holman Stadium is currently underway at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach (FL). New seating, a higher outfield fence, rebranding of the scoreboard and a new location for the bullpen behind the left field fence are all part of MLB’s $10 million project, which also includes updating the complex’s motel rooms and building an indoor training facility. On March 11, 1953, Brooklyn Dodgers President Walter O’Malley stood at home plate to open the newly constructed, 5,000-seat stadium at Dodgertown, named for local businessman and Airport Director Bud Holman. Read more here.
