UK’s New Baseball Stadium Named ‘Kentucky Proud Park’

PRESS RELEASE – The new home of Kentucky baseball has been officially named Kentucky Proud Park after approval by the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees on Friday. The name is a tribute to farmers and businesses of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the Big Blue Nation.

Former Kentucky baseball coach Keith Madison once had a dream about a day like Saturday. A day when the Wildcat baseball team would move into a new home. UK Closes Book on Final Regular Season at Cliff Hagan, New Ballpark Under Construction

Kentucky Wildcats ‘Top Out’ New Baseball Stadium

On Thursday, the Kentucky Baseball program held a “topping-out” ceremony to celebrate a milestone moment in the construction of the new stadium, which is on schedule to be completed in late Summer/early fall of 2018.  Read more and watch news report here.

UK Breaks Ground on New Ballpark

The University of Kentucky Athletics Department officially broke ground on the construction of a new baseball stadium on Thursday.  Construction is expected to take 18-20 months, meaning the stadium will open in late fall 2018 in time for the 2019 UK baseball season.  Read more and view aerial rendering here.

UK Board of Directors Approve Ballpark Construction
