Back to the Table After One-Day Strike

Hundreds of concession workers participated in Saturday’s one-day strike at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, leading to long lines at concession stands as management and replacement workers filled in.  In response, the ballpark’s concessionaire, Centerplate, plans to invite union leaders back to the bargaining table this week to resume contract talks.  Read more here.

Concession Workers Vote to Authorize Strike

Concession workers at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, voted 500-16 Saturday to authorize a strike, although that doesn’t mean a strike is imminent.  The vote gives the union leverage, as negotiations for a new contract continue with stadium vendor, Centerplate Inc.  The employees have reportedly been working without a contract for three years.  Read more here.

Unhappy Concession Workers Call for Strike Authorization Vote Today

Roughly 750 union-represented concession workers at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, have called for a strike authorization vote Saturday.  They are  unhappy over the progress of negotiations for a new contract with the stadium vendor, Centerplate Inc.  The employees have reportedly been working without a contract for three years.  Read more here.
