New UCONN Baseball Stadium on Track for March Opening

Construction on UConn sports facilities is running on schedule, with new baseball and soccer venues expected to open next year.  The baseball stadium’s turf will be installed in the next few weeks, leaving the stadium on track to open in time for the Huskies’ first scheduled home game on March 29 against Seton Hall.  Read more and view photo gallery here.

UConn Names New Ballpark

The UConn Board of Trustees has approved of naming the new on-campus baseball facility Elliot Ballpark.  The 1,500-seat stadium is scheduled to open in the spring of 2020.  Read more here.

UConn Releases Feasibility Report for New Ballpark, Other Athletic Facilities

Based on a newly released feasibility study from the University of Connecticut, a fair share of the Huskies’ athletic programs may be receiving upgrades to their home facilities in the not-so-distant future.  The report, put together by architecture firm Populous, includes a new ballpark for the UConn baseball team.  Read more here.  View report here.
