The summer collegiate Lorain County Ironmen on Thursday announced that the team has left the Prospect League and will begin play in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League beginning in 2015. The Pipe Yard Gets New Name
The Pipe Yard, home of the summer collegiate Lorain County Ironmen (Prospect League), has a new name. The ballpark will now be known as “Pipe Yard Stadium powered by FirstEnergy Solutions.” The ballpark naming rights deal with the power company is for eight years and appears to be funded solely by discounted energy provided to the city.
