The Texas Tomcats, one of two new franchises in the Texas Collegiate League, made their home debut on Sunday in front of 956 fans at Veterans Memorial Park. Not bad for the tiny town of Weimar, TX (Pop. 2,016). The Tomcats defeated the Victoria (TX) Generals 8-6. Read more here.

Tomcats Unveil New Website
The Texas Collegiate League’s newest franchise from tiny Weimar, TX (pop. 2,106) are showing fans (and the industry) that the Texas Tomcats will be a minor league-style, professionally-run operation. The team has just launched a high-end Infinity Pro Sports website at www.texastomcats.com. The inaugural home opener for the Tomcats is set for Sunday, June 6, against the Alexandria (LA) Aces.

Franchise in TCL Selects Home and Team Name

It’s the ‘Texas Tomcats’
The Texas Tomcats are coming to Weimar, Texas. The Texas Collegiate League’s newest franchise will begin play this season and make Veterans Memorial Park their home. The team is owned by Tracy Young, who also owns the TCL’s Victoria Generals. Victoria GM Blake Koch will also serve as GM for the Weimar franchise. Read more here.
