The Terre Haute (IN) Rex, one of four new teams in the summer collegiate Prospect League, made their home debut on Thursday in front of 1,300 fans at Bob Warn Field. The Rex lost to the Springfield Sliders 5-2 in 10 innings. Read more here.
The Terre Haute Rex, one of the summer collegiate Prospect League’s four new franchises, are busy scrambling with excitement and anticipation to prepare for their home debut on June 3 against the Springfield (IL) Sliders. The Terre Haute Rex, a 2010 expansion franchise from the summer collegiate Prospect League, have launched a new website. We are not sure if this is the team’s permanent online presence or not, as it was done below grade using the WordPress program. The site can be found at www.terrehauterex.com.
Tribune-Star reporter Mark Bennett takes a look back at minor league baseball in Terre Haute and 16,000-capacity Memorial Stadium that opened in 1925 and was leveled in 1969. The summer collegiate Prospect League’s new team in Terre Haute, IN, has just released its new logo. It was created by the design team from the Clabber Girl Corporation. Read more here. As we previously reported, the team was named after Clabber Girl’s Rex® Brand Coffee. Unfortunately, from our perspective, the logo misses the mark.
The owners of the new Terre Haute Rex baseball club have an incredible opportunity in their mitts to break new ground in the world of baseball franchise branding and marketing.
