The ‘Hot Noisy’ Pro Baseball Experience in Taiwan
As the batter steps to the plate, the clamor crescendoes — a rhyming, thumping chant, often tailored to his name. Cheerleaders prance atop the dugout, accompanied by blaring recorded music or even live drums and brass instruments. Fans wield all manner of noise makers — clappers, pairs of plastic bats, small vuvuzelas — pretty much nonstop for nine innings. Read more here.

Taiwan City Launches Baseball Stadium Design Contest
Tainan City government has launched an open international contest for a 25,000-capacity, 30-hectare baseball stadium and training complex. Located in southern Taiwan, Tainan is already home to the Uni-President Lions baseball team and is also the birthplace of several of the country’s most famous baseball players. Read more here.

Fan Drops Toddler Reaching for Foul Ball, Mom P*ssed!
A Taiwanese baseball fan dropped his young daughter while reaching for a foul ball during a game between the Brother Elephants and the Lamigo Monkeys at the Taoyuan Baseball Stadium in suburban Taipei. The toddler was fine, but mom let dad have it! Watch video here.
