PRESS RELEASE – Baseball in Burlington finally has its own identity. One that embraces the history of the community, and one that they can say is uniquely theirs. Burlington Baseball announced this morning via their YouTube that the long-awaited rebranding process has culminated in the team’s sockingly different identity, now known as the Burlington Sock Puppets. The identity, created by Dan Simon of Studio Simon, pays homage to the rich textile tradition of this area by featuring two different sock puppets inside the primary logo.

Cannon Ballers Merchandise Selling Fast, Learn More About the History and Development Behind the New Brand
Merchandise for the former Kannapolis Intimidators (Single-A, South Atlantic League) is flying off the shelves. Due to overwhelming demand, the “Kannapolis Cannon Ballers” downtown retail store will remain open for the foreseeable future inside the former 46 Restaurant. Read more here. Cuyahoga Community College Unveils Triceratops
Cleveland’s Cuyahoga Community College (the largest community college in Ohio), which is referred to by students, faculty and others in the city as Tri-C, have changed the name of their athletic teams, including the baseball team, from Challengers to Triceratops. The Erie SeaWolves (Double-A, Eastern League) will change their name to the “Erie SnowWolves” for a day to celebrate “Christmas in July” on Friday, July 27. Brillion (WI)-based Ariens Company will be the presenting sponsor. On this special occasion, the team will wear custom on-field jerseys and caps designed by Dan Simon of Louisville (KY)- based design firm Studio Simon. Tortugas Tantilizing Tee Up for the 2018 Season
There is a lot going on in Daytona (FL), as the Daytona Tortugas (Single-A, Florida State League) have announced a new video board, the Shell’s Kitchen food truck, and cool new ball caps honoring colleges in the state.
