City Reduces Subsidy to Ports

Stockton Ports LogoThe city of Stockton (CA) and the Single-A Stockton Ports (California League) have agreed to amend the team’s contract to play at Stockton Ballpark.  Stockton officials say the changes will reduce the city’s current $400,000 annual subsidy to the team by about $112,500.  The city is restructuring its debts as part of a Chapter 9 bankruptcy.  The Ports’ contract runs through 2044.  Read more here.

’30 Days of Opening Day’ in Stockton
