Texas Live! Opens Thursday Night, ‘Going to the Show’ Statue Unveiled

A major development between the Texas Rangers’ ballpark and Cowboys Stadium in Arlington opens Thursday night.  It’s called Texas Live!, a new 200,000-square-foot sports-themed restaurant and entertainment complex.  It’s adjacent to developing Globe Life Field, the new home for the Rangers set to open in 2020.  Read more and watch news report here.  Joining Texas Live! and Globe Life Field is the new “Going to the Show” statue.  Read more and view photos here.

Reds Unveil Statue of Pete Rose at Great American Ball Park

On Saturday, the Cincinnati Reds unveiled a statue of “franchise” Hall of Famer, all-time MLB hits leader, and Cincy native Pete Rose.  Rose himself was on hand to make the big reveal.  Read more and watch video here.

Marlins to Erect Statue of Jose Fernandez

Late Miami Marlins ace Jose Fernandez will be permanently memorialized in a 9-to-10-foot bronze statue outside Marlins Park later this year, team president David Samson said Thursday.  Read more here.

Sneak Peak of Coming Pete Rose Statue

This past June, all-time MLB hit king Pete Rose was officially inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame during a pregame ceremony at Great American Ball Park.  His No. 14 was retired as well.  Next season, the Reds will further honor Rose with a statue at the ballpark.  View model of statue here.

Dodgers to Honor Jackie Robinson with Statue

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced Tuesday that, sometime in 2016, a likeness of Jackie Robinson would be the first statue ever to appear at Dodger Stadium. The artist Branly Cadet, a former Brooklyn resident, will sculpt a statue between 9 and 10 feet tall of Robinson, who broke Major League Baseball’s modern color barrier with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947.  Read more here.  More from the Dodgers here.

Twins Unveil New Statue at Target Field

With a sizable pregame crowd in attendance, the Minnesota Twins unveiled a brand new statue of mascot T.C. Bear at the Target Field plaza outside of Gate 29 on Sunday morning.  Read more here.

Brewers to Dedicate a Second Bob Uecker Statue at Miller Park

PRESS RELEASE – The Milwaukee Brewers today announced plans for a new Bob Uecker statue at Miller Park. Unlike the statues that surround Miller Park’s Home Plate Plaza, this statue will be in the last row-yes, the last row of the Terrace Level at Miller Park.

Padres Honor Long-Time Broadcaster with Statue

The San Diego Padres unveiled a 7 1/2 tall bronze statue of Hall of Fame broadcaster and former player Jerry Coleman, 88, at PETCO Park on Saturday.  Coleman is shown wearing the uniform he wore as a pilot in the Marine Corps.  Read more and watch video here.  View statue here.

Brewers Unveil Uecker Statue

The Milwaukee Brewers dedicated a new 7-foot-tall bronze statue of beloved player and broadcaster Bob “Mr. Baseball” Uecker during a ceremony outside Miller Park Friday.  The “Ueck” joins three others outside the main gates, including statutes honoring Hall of Famers Hank Aaron and Robin Yount, and Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig.  Read more and view video here.
