A major development between the Texas Rangers’ ballpark and Cowboys Stadium in Arlington opens Thursday night. It’s called Texas Live!, a new 200,000-square-foot sports-themed restaurant and entertainment complex. It’s adjacent to developing Globe Life Field, the new home for the Rangers set to open in 2020. Marlins to Erect Statue of Jose Fernandez
Late Miami Marlins ace Jose Fernandez will be permanently memorialized in a 9-to-10-foot bronze statue outside Marlins Park later this year, team president David Samson said Thursday. Read more here.

Sneak Peak of Coming Pete Rose Statue
This past June, all-time MLB hit king Pete Rose was officially inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame during a pregame ceremony at Great American Ball Park. His No. 14 was retired as well. Dodgers to Honor Jackie Robinson with Statue
The Los Angeles Dodgers announced Tuesday that, sometime in 2016, a likeness of Jackie Robinson would be the first statue ever to appear at Dodger Stadium. The artist Branly Cadet, a former Brooklyn resident, will sculpt a statue between 9 and 10 feet tall of Robinson, who broke Major League Baseball’s modern color barrier with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. Padres Honor Long-Time Broadcaster with Statue

Brewers Unveil Uecker Statue
The Milwaukee Brewers dedicated a new 7-foot-tall bronze statue of beloved player and broadcaster Bob “Mr. Baseball” Uecker during a ceremony outside Miller Park Friday.
