Save Our Spikes

Joined by a large group of community leaders and local, state and federal officials on Thursday at the Centre County Visitors Center, the short-season single-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals launched the #SaveOurSpikes campaign to fight back against a Major League Baseball proposal that if enacted would eliminate affiliations for State College and 41 other minor league clubs.  Read more here.

Spikes Will Pay Tribute to Controversial ‘Romper’ Fashion Trend

PRESS RELEASE – Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, the home of the State College Spikes, is about to turn into the world’s largest romper room – male rompers, that is. The Spikes will pay homage to the latest trend in men’s fashion with a Salute to the “Romp-him” on Wednesday, June 28, when they take on the Batavia Muckdogs (Miami Marlins) at 7:05 p.m.

Spikes Name Hoover as Assistant GM

PRESS RELEASE – The State College Spikes have announced the hiring of Matt Hoover as Assistant General Manager of Marketing, effective immediately. Hoover will coordinate the Spikes’ marketing efforts as well as oversee the club’s community relations programs and enhance the in-game entertainment experience for fans at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
