The summer collegiate St. Cloud franchise (Northwoods League), formerly known as the St. Cloud River Bats, announced last week that it will unveil the team’s new name and logo at Legends Bar & Grill located in the Holiday Inn & Suites in St. Cloud on Tuesday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m. Over 1,200 name suggestion were submitted, but we’ll stick with our prediction that it will be the St. Cloud Rox.

Concession revenues for the summer collegiate St. Cloud River Bats (Northwoods League) have dropped from $108,248 in 2010 to $88,937 this year. The numbers have been trending downward since 2007, when revenues hit $173,030. The only explanation is a tough economy and fewer actual butts in the seats. Read more here.
