Manatees Eye New Downtown Melbourne Ballpark
The Single-A Brevard County Manatees (Florida State League) are exploring a potential move from Viera into a future downtown Melbourne baseball stadium at the old SunTrust Bank site on New Haven Avenue. Brevard County Goes Trolling
In an effort to persuade the Washington Nationals to keep their spring-training operations in Viera (FL) or find another team to take their place, Brevard County put together an eight-page brochure showing what 20-year-old Space Coast Stadium could look like with a proposed $29 million facelift. The brochure was sent to Nationals executive last week and will be mailed to the other 29 MLB teams this week. Read more here.
