Cathy Perry Named Miners General Manager

Miners Announce “The Links At Rent One Park”

Miners Announce New Radio Voice

PRESS RELEASE – The Southern Illinois Miners have announced the hiring of their new radio voice Jason Guerette. Guerette joins the Miners after spending last summer as the voice of the Northwest Indiana Oilmen of the Midwest Collegiate League.

Opening of SIU’s New Ballpark Delayed

Because of construction challenges caused by a tough winter, the grand opening of Richard “Itchy” Jones Stadium, the new home of the Southern Illinois University Salukis, has been delayed from this weekend until March 14.  SIU’s series against Northern Illinois scheduled for this weekend has been moved to Rent One Park in Marion, home of the indy pro Southern Illinois Miners (Frontier League).  Read more here.  Watch video here.
