Bill to Stop Kokomo Ballpark Construction Passes State Senate

The emergency FEMA-funds protection bill introduced by State Sen. Jim Buck (R-Kokomo) that could potentially stop construction of the new ballpark being built in a flood-prone area of Kokomo (IN) for the summer collegiate Kokomo Jackrabbits (Prospect League) passed the Indiana Senate on Thursday.  The bill must still pass the House.  The city remains opposed to this measure and has already submitted a new design plan to FEMA.  Read more here.
