A consultant this month recommended nearly $13 million in improvements to Schaumburg Boomers (Independent Professional, Frontier League) Stadium. Officials from the village of Schaumburg and Schaumburg Park District, which co-own the stadium, said the implementation of upgrades will be phased over several years. It began with a beer toast, and then it was jello shots, beer pong, a “swear off,” kilt-clad waiters and waitresses from the The Tilted Kilt “breastuarant” and more, as the indy pro Schaumburg Boomers (Frontier League) held “21 and Over Night” last Thursday. Read more here. Reported attendance was 2,297. The Boomers lead the league in attendance with 3,768 fans per game after five games. It will be back to normal Friday, June 6, as the Boomers host Superhero Night — for the kids!
