Start-Up Southwest League Ready to Close on Royse City Property
Mark Schuster, president of Ventura Sports Group, has reportedly told the local newspaper that his group is getting ready to close on property in Royse City (TX) where a proposed ballpark would be built to host a franchise from the start-up Southwest League (Independent Professional). Royse City is one of the three teams that have been announced. An additional three teams are expected to be announced in May. Read more here.
Royse City Extends MOU with Ballpark Developer
During its morning meeting on Jan. 24, the Royse City (TX) Community Development Corporation’s Board of Directors approved the ballpark developer’s request to extend its memorandum of understanding (MOU) by six months. Read more here.

A news conference was scheduled in Royse City (TX) Monday to announce plans for a new franchise in the developing Southwest League (Independent Professional) led by Ventura Sports Group and details involving a multipurpose stadium that will be built.
