Summer Collegiate Ball Returns to McBride Stadium

RJ-PrimaryThe Richmond RiverRats (Summer Collegiate, Prospect League) announced in October that they were pulling out of McBride Stadium in Richmond (IN), but it didn’t take long to fill the void.  The new Richmond Jazz (Summer Collegiate, Great Lakes League) will be taking their place.  Read more here.

Press Box to Be Relocated at McBride Stadium

Based on a structural evaluation by an engineering firm, the press box at 75-year-old McBride Stadium, home of the summer collegiate Richmond (IN) RiverRats (Prospect League), will have to be relocated from atop the structure.  There is no timetable yet on when this will happen.  As you might recall, McBide was the home of the indy pro Richmond Roosters (Frontier League) from 1995-2005 before the team was sold Continue reading

McBride Stadium Turns 75

Built in 1936, McBride Stadium in Richmond (IN) is a vintage ballpark that has seen a lot of outstanding players and plenty of events over its 75-year history.  Read more here.  The stadium now serves as the home for the summer collegiate Richmond RiverRats (Prospect League).  From 1995-2005, McBride hosted the indy pro Richmond Roosters (Frontier League).
